Not sure if it was a BLOG intervention, karma or just plain stupidity. It really was an honest mistake hitting the delete button to blow up an old and unused g-mail e-mail account.
Children: Do not try this at home. Words from a child (Katie Brantley)...don't panic, Mama.
Some how, some way the old g-mail e-mail had gotten tied to the blog(s). And, since this is not the only blog that I contribute to, it was a catastrophic event. Pressing DELETE took them all down.
Then, I had to go to bed for several days. This is a true story. My guts were in my throat for over a month.
My blogging activities began in early 2007 and I contributed often, having no idea how it completed me until it was gone. First my personal blog, then a transfer to the Alzheimer's blog, then the creation of several other personal blogs, Kate's blog, and blogging for others to generate search engine optimization. There must have been 15-20 in all.
Down on September 19, 2010 and back up in pieces last week with many, many emails to Google and Blogger. Try proving ownership with this much blog activity, nearly impossible. Ultimately, we created numerous entities to complain about the same issue. Little tricks of the trade. But the worst, is loosing my placement in the search engines. This is a testament of what happens if you do not feed the monster. You have to contribute to your blogs to stay at the top of the game. Hated that this was learned the way it was, but I can promise now what I preach is fact.
At this time, this is the only blog that I have access to. I suppose they have given me this one back to keep me quiet until they get the rest of them functional. Lost pictures and links that I may never be able to replicate, however, the written word is still there. There are other (blogs) up to view but again, no access. Just another project, another work in process.
NOTE TO SELF: Do not delete anything, ever. Their first question to me was, did you back-up? Heck man, this was user error.
Happy to have the platform for the holidays as we have so much to catch up on.
WB's stroke, the clinical trial, his mother's passing, Kate's recovery from EPV, her progress at UA, football, visits from friends, Nanny's passing, a business proposal or two.
I have updated the playlist a tad and hope to have a new design up over the weekend.
LUV to all,
Just Brantley

ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you have been, I didn't know that you had done that. Glad you got this one back and hope the others will soon follow.
